“My interest in physical therapy began over 30 years ago when I injured my knee in a skiing accident and had to have surgery. My postsurgical rehabilitation with a physical therapist helped me get back to function and back to my active lifestyle; I wanted to help people do the same. Knowing that I wanted to provide my patients with the advanced training and education they deserve, I earned a master’s degree in physical therapy at Texas Women’s University. What’s more, I’ve completed numerous continuing education courses to stay current with the latest developments in my field.

“When you visit Recovery Zone Physical Therapy and PRO PT, you will really appreciate the personal attention we provide you. We take the time to get to know you. We make sure we understand your concerns, and we help educate you on your condition. This personalized approach helps us provide an even higher level of care, and we feel it gives you a real sense of our commitment to your better health.”

When not caring for patients, Brenda enjoys spending time with her family. She enjoys camping, hiking, reading, golfing, playing tennis and lifting weights.

I was born and raised in the western suburbs of Philadelphia.  At the age of 19 I was involved in a serious motorcycle accident.  I sustained some serious injuries which introduced me to the physical therapy profession.  I always wanted to work with my hands, so I enrolled at Temple University and graduated in 1981 with my Physical Therapy degree.  After working in an acute-care hospital for 2 years, I opened my own physical therapy clinic where I practiced my chosen profession for the next 17 years.  After selling my clinic to a corporate entity, I supervised 30 therapists out doing homecare everyday.  As rewarding as that was, I decided I needed a change in my life, both personally and professionally.  That decision led me to move to Southern Oregon.  I am eager to utilize 30 years of clinical practice for the benefit of the residents of the Klamath Falls area through my work here at Recovery Zone Physical Therapy and Fitness Center.

When I was growing up, I had a grandmother who relied on several medications to control arthritis pain and to manage other health conditions.  I remember wondering if everyone had to take so many pils and how she could stand it, since I didn't eve like taking a vitamin in the morning.  I discovered Physical Therapy through a career educaation class in high school.  After doing some volenteer hours for a local hospitals PT department, I was intrigued to discover a profession that gave people something they could do to improve their health rather than take pills.  I attended Loma Linda University in Southern CA, graduating with my degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 1999.  Since then I have worked with a wide range of people, from teens to grandparents.  I have enjoyed seeing them progress from pain and disability to strength and improvement, Their medications reduced to a supportive roll instead of a primary means of managing their symptoms.  I have a special love for pool therapy and hope to achieve my specialization in aquatic therapy over the next two years.

 Randy Hadwick, CPT

My name is Randy Hadwick and I am a certified personal trainer.  I have played sports most of my life.  When I was a young boy, I played baseball and basketball.  During my high school years I played football, basketball and tennis.  At the end of my senior year of high school, I joined the Marine Corps.  I was involved in an accident where I tore my anterior cruciate ligament in half. After many weeks of therapy and a medical discharge from the Marine Corps, this gave me a passion to train and help people recover from injuries.  I went on to compete in three natural bodybuilding contests.  Now, my favorite sport is golf.  I love people and enjoy helping them set and achieve higher goals for health and life.  Remember, a rubber band is not effective until it is stretched.  I hope to see you soon.

I have lived in Klamath Falls area for over 18 years now.. I began my journey as a Certified Personal Trainer three years ago. It started with a passion for my own personal health and fitness level and has evolved into a desire to help others realize and achieve their personal best. The focus of my studies through Portland Community College is in the Gerontology program, studying the effects and benefits of fitness as we age. I look forward to seeing new clients and helping you attain your health and fitness goals!

I enjoy a wide variety of the outdoor activities that our community had to offer, such as hiking with my dogs, camping, riding our many trails on my bike, and snowshoeing.
